Casino Rules Canada
Editorial policy
These rules apply to every page on Casino Rules Canada.
Official sources for every rule
Each statement about a law, regulator, register, age or program comes from a source named on the page, linked in its source list. We prefer the statute, the regulator or the government to anyone describing them. If no official source supports a statement, it is not made, and the page says what could not be confirmed.
Attribution
When a statement is a body’s own claim rather than settled fact, we say whose claim it is: “Loto-Québec states…”, “the Act states…”. Statements by consultants and law firms are always attributed and are used only where no official source exists or where they conflict with one.
No legal advice
We explain what official sources say and who is responsible for what. We do not tell readers how a law applies to them or what would happen in a particular case. Anyone who needs that should ask a lawyer licensed in their province. Where a statute creates an offence, we quote its text and say what we did and did not find about enforcement.
No verdicts on brands
Our regulatory guides do not name individual offshore casino brands or hand down verdicts on them. Where a guide needs an example of checking an operator, it uses one that appears on an official provincial list.
No ratings, no invented voices
No ratings, rankings, reviews, testimonials, experts or quotes that we did not source. Pages are written by the Casino Rules Canada Editorial Team.
Province by province
We do not present one province’s rules as Canada’s. Each guide names the province it covers, and each claim about “Canada” is backed by the federal statute or by a province-by-province check.
Dates
Each table row shows when it was last checked, each page shows the date of its oldest fact, and dates in the text are written in full, such as October 19, 2026.
AI tools
Drafts are prepared with the help of AI tools. Every fact is checked against the source named on the page before publication, and anything that cannot be matched to its source is removed.
Responsible gambling
We never explain how to get around age checks, location checks, identity verification or self-exclusion. Our responsible gambling page lists official help.
Commission and corrections
How the site is funded is set out in our affiliate disclosure. Reported errors are checked against the official source and corrected, with the date updated; use our contact page.
