Casino Rules Canada

Privacy

Casino Rules Canada has no accounts, forms, comments or newsletter. We never ask for your name, email address or payment details. This notice describes everything the site records.

The visit-source label

When a page opens, a script stores one label in your browser’s session storage, under the key cg_src, recording where the visit came from: chatgpt, perplexity, gemini, copilot, claude, google, bing, ddg, direct or other. It is based on the utm_source parameter if the address has one, otherwise on the referring site. Moving between our pages does not change it, and closing the tab deletes it. The label is a category: it holds no address, search terms or question, and it cannot identify you.

Our regulatory guides carry no partner links. The site’s code supports them: if a page ever carried one, a click would add the label to the address of that link on our site and send Google Analytics 4 an affiliate_click event with the brand, the page, the link’s position and the label, and the casino would receive only our site’s domain as the origin of the visit. Our affiliate disclosure explains why there are none now.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to see which pages are read and how. Neither loads when the page opens; both load after your first interaction with it, such as scrolling, moving the mouse, touching the screen, clicking or pressing a key. Once loaded, they collect usage data and may set cookies under Google’s and Microsoft’s own terms; Clarity records interactions such as clicks and scrolling. No other third-party scripts, fonts or advertising load on the site.

Why we record the source

The label shows which channels readers arrive from, for example a search engine or an AI assistant, which tells us which guides answer the questions people bring. It is never combined with anything that could identify you.

What we never see

No casino account details, payment details, names or email addresses pass through this site, and we cannot see what a reader does on any other website.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data in each request, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site.

Your choices

You can block scripts or storage in your browser settings, use a private window, or close the tab to clear the label. Every page can be read without any of them.
